Space focused Organisations across Norway.

DRIVEN BY PURPOSE
Norstec
Establishing a strong Norwegian presence in space requires knowledge, creativity, cooperation, and a passion for change. NORSTEC believes that a sustainable future in space begins long before the rockets leave the ground, before the equations are solved, and before the launch pad is built.
NORSTEC aims to give students in Norway the skills, inspiration, and slightly overly enthusiastic encouragement they need to push boundaries and create the future of Norwegian spaceflight history. Our programs, mission, and values are all nested in these three goals:

Our core values
Our core values
To create a student community able to create something as advanced as space hardened technology, one absolutely needs passion for technology, engineering, science, and math. Without it, NORSTEC would not exist.
One of the biggest motivations for funding NORSTEC was to create a community among the next generation of space engineers and scientists. We believe this to be one of our largest success factors, as uniting all students across the country, enables possibilities previously not dreamt of.
To create or join an organisation, you need to think big and dream even bigger. Norway’s space industry aims to be a leading actor at the world stage, and needs suitable people to help fulfill that ambition. NORSTEC’s members have shown to both have the motivation, ambition, and direction to be leading on the world stage, both in competitions and endearing missions.

Our Impact
Programs, tailored for all parts of a student’s journey.
Member projects completed, both rockets and satellites.
Expected growth in the space domain by 2035.
An unexpected turn of events
The idea of NORSTEC came from the event Spaceport Norway in 2023, where the leaders of all current Norwegian space organisations sat down and discussed their goals and issues.
It was clear that the organisations had similar visions of the future and dreams of a strong Norway in the space domain, and dreamt of a place to meet, discuss, and help each other reach each others goals. NORSTEC was founded shortly after.

The Napkin
The original napkin from the Spaceport Norway 2023 meeting, where NORSTEC was founded. During an informal discussion at Spaceport Norway 2023, the initial structure, participants, and ambitions of NORSTEC were written down on this napkin. It represents the earliest documented moment of the collective’s formation and the collaborative spirit it was built upon.

Incubators
Incubators supports and encourages the establishment and growth of new space-oriented student organizations. The Incubator provides students with the resources and mentorship they need to turn their ideas into reality.
450+
Members strong
NORSTEC aims to create value for all our members across the country, and currently reaches every space student organisation in Norway. We work every day to create opportunities for every single one of them.

Rocketeering Organizations
Rocket technology is critical for access to space, science, and defense. Our member organisations are world leaders within liquid engines, control and recovery systems, and create new feats of engineering each year. A majority of our member organizations launch each year, and often participate in the Europen competition EuRoC.
4
Satellite Organizations
Created to survive the toughest environments on earth: Our satellite-building organizations build cube-sats and develop high-end satellite technologies. One of our member organisations have already launched a working student satellite to space, with several other organisations close behind. Satellites will eventually also be launched from Norwegian soil, a world first.
NORSTEC proudly houses every space student organization across all of Norway
